Lietuvos Rytas - Fenerbahce Ulker 75-81 Fenerbahce Ulker recovered from road defeat against Cholet last week and managed to beat Lietuvos Rytas in Vilnius 75-81. With this victory, Fener jumped to 5-1 sharing the first place in Group C with Montepaschi. Lietuvos Rytas dropped to 1-5 and their chances to reach Top16 drastically decreased.



NBA - Hawks snap losing streak. The Atlanta Hawks cruised to a 116-96 win over the Washington Wizards and snapped a three-game losing skid. The win lifted Atlanta (9-7) to within two games of the Southeast Division-leading Orlando Magic and left the Wizards (5-9) winless on the road this season after seven games.




Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has rejected suggestions he was plotting a move to Manchester City. Rooney, 25, looked set to leave Old Trafford last month after querying the club's transfer policy, but eventually signed a five-year deal to stay put. And he has apologised to fans for the way the contract talks were handled.




New contract keeps Klopp at Dortmund. Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund have rewarded Jürgen Klopp for masterminding their impressive start to the season, giving the coach a two-year contract extension until 2014.



ATP World Tour Finals - Murray joins Federer in last four. Andy Murray joined Roger Federer in the last four of the ATP World Tour finals as he downed David Ferrer 6-2 6-2 at the O2 Arena in London. Federer topped Group B with three wins over Murray, Ferrer and Robin Soderling while the British number one recovered from his defeat to Federer on Tuesday to add Ferrer's scalp to his opening win over Soderling. Murray will face the winner of Group A on Saturday with Spain's Ferrer joining Swedish hopeful Soderling in making an early exit.
