New volunteers arrived ...

Last Friday the next generation of Turkish volunteers arrived in Lithuania. Ömer and Merve are two students from Ankara, who will spend two month volunteering in Didzdvaris Gymnasium. As Manana and I already discovered, they are both very open minded and social and we are sure that we will have a great time with them. :)
Moreover we hope that Ömer will support us by writing especially for the sports section of our blog, because, as you maybe recognised, Manana and I are not particularly up to date when it comes to sports news. Due to Ömer's broad interest in many different fields, we are also sure that he will contribute to our school's activities with his knowledge and enthusiasm. In addition it is his plan to improve his Russian skills while he is in Lithuania and get to know as many interesting people here as possible. 
Merve is also very eager to take part in school activities, as she told us, she really would like to join some lessions, improve her English while she is here and furthermore assist the sports teacher, because she has as passion for sports. 


So we wish them a good start in Lithuania, many good experiences during this two months and that they make the best out of this opportunity to be an international volunteer here. :)
