Kevin Durant returned from a knee injury and scored a team-high 28 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 114-109 victory over the Golden State Warriors. Durant, the NBA's leading scorer who missed the last two games with the injury, was sharp on his comeback as the Thunder raced to an early 18-2 lead and held a 20-point advantage after three quarters.


Serbia celebrated their first Davis Cup title on Sunday as Viktor Troicki thrashed France's Michael Llodra to secure a memorable 3-2 victory inside a rocking Belgrade Arena. Jubilant scenes followed Troicki's perfect backhand pass on matchpoint as his team mates stormed the court to swamp the 24-year-old before the players, and Serbian federation president Slobodan Zivojinovic sat down to have their heads shaved -- a vow they made after their semi-final victory.

Ted Ligety lived up to his reputation as top giant slalom specialist when he won the Beaver Creek stage of the World Cup. The American crushed the opposition on the Golden Eagle course, winning in a combined time of two minutes 37.67 seconds. It was his first success on home snow.
