Paul McCartney will follow his White House event by playing New York's famous venue
Sir Paul McCartney will make his first appearance at New York's famous Apollo
Theater next Monday, 13th December.
The former Beatle, 68, will perform at the Harlem venue - which is celebrating
its 75th anniversary - in an invitation-only concert for paid-for radio
service Sirius XM.
McCartney was one of five artists honoured by the Kennedy Centre last night
having been feted at a White House event with United States President Barack
Obama paying tribute to the former Beatle and his fellow award winners
including Merle Haggard.

The show will celebrate the service, which has six channels, reaching 20
million subscribers.
Michael Jackson, who Sir Paul sang with on tracks including 1982's The Girl Is Mine, launched his career at the venue.
He first appeared at the fabled Harlem theatre with his brothers as The Jackson Five in 1967, when they won the Apollo's Amateur Night contest.
The non-profit venue became renowned as the launch pad for a generation of R&B stars, including Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Ben E King.
