Fabio Capello branded 'amateurish' and 'disgraceful' over handling of injured Steven Gerrard Fabio Capello was last night accused of being “amateurish” and “disgraceful” with Liverpool suffering for England’s “incompetence” after Steven Gerrard limped out of the defeat to France with a hamstring injury. 






Carlos Moya retires due to foot injury. Former world No 1 Carlos Moya fought back tears on Wednesday as he formally announced his retirement from tennis at the age of 34 due to a recurring foot injury.





Lewis Hamilton welcomes input from McLaren team-mate Jenson Button. Lewis Hamilton believes a full winter testing programme alongside Jenson Button could be crucial to McLaren's hopes in the 2011 Formula One season. 



London 2012 Olympics: sports warned they must not use free ticket allocations to reward loyal fans. Plans by UK Athletics to reward loyal fans with tickets to the 2012 Olympics from its own allocation have been vetoed by London organisers. Instead, it will hand out tickets to its own staff.
