Daily art news


 A visitor looks at some of the works by Spanish artist Antonio Tapies during the opening of the exhibition 'Look the hand...' at the Palau Fabre Foundation in Barcelona, Spain. The exhibition shows the work of Tapies during the last ten years and will be on display until 18 January 2011.




Islamic Museum in Old Cairo has been re-opened and  newly renovated  on October 25, 2010. According to Hawass, the museum now holds the largest collection of Islamic artefacts in the world.




Gustavo Dudamel conducts Olivier Messiaen's "Turangalila" on Thursday at Walt Disney Concert Hall, featuring soloist Jean-Yves Thibaudet at the piano and Cynthia Millar on the ondes martenot.
