Visitors walk past paintings by the late Spanish artist Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) during a media preview at the Kunsthaus Zurich, in Zurich October 14, 2010. The exhibition 'Picasso' at the Kunsthaus Zurich revives the first museum exhibition devoted to Pablo Picasso, shown at the Kunsthaus Zurich in 1932, with 100 works from celebrated international collections. The exhibition runs from October 15 to January 30, 2011.


'Sunflower Seeds' by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei in London, Monday, Oct. 11, 2010. The specially commissioned art piece takes the form of a field of sunflower seeds inside the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern gallery, made of over 100 million handmade unique porcelain replicas of sunflower seeds, made by Chinese Artist Ai Weiwei, and will run until May 2, 2011. But British art museum Tate Modern says an exhibit  has been closed to visitors because it is a potential health hazard.So visitors would no longer be allowed to walk across the seeds, though they can be viewed from a walkway above the hall.


The 30x40 inch promotional poster was based on a painting by artist Montague Black showing the doomed liner and its sister ship Olympic passing each other at sea.
The 45,000 ton Olympic can be seen in the foreground with Titanic heading for the horizon in the distance. It was sold on Saturday at auction for £69,000, more than double its pre-sale estimate of £20,000 to £30,000. http://www.telegraph.co.uk
