Figures from the opera world are paying tribute to Dame Joan Sutherland, one of the great opera singers of the 20th century, who has died aged 83.
The Australian soprano died at her Swiss home after a long illness.






               
Canadian art museum wins legal row. The Beaverbrook Art Gallery, in New Brunswick, Canada, is to tour many of its finest paintings to America, following the end of a six-year legal battle.  The touring show, organized by the US company Exhibits Development Group, will comprise 75 works. These include two of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery’s British masterpieces.


 Liverpool Biennial - Touched

Liverpool Biennial presents Touched, the International 10 exhibition as part of Liverpool Biennial 2010. Touched presents artworks that affect the viewer through addressing a total context (mind, body and place: relatedness in space and time); artworks whose investment and inscription in the particular and the personal affects the general and the social.
